  1.    CLISP is a Common Lisp implementation by Bruno Haible of Karlsruhe
  2.    University and Michael Stoll of Munich University, both in Germany.
  3.    It mostly supports the Lisp described in "Common LISP: The Language
  4.    (2nd edition)" and the ANSI Common Lisp standard.  It runs on
  5.    microcomputers (DOS, OS/2, Amiga 500-4000, Acorn RISC PC) as well
  6.    as on Unix workstations (Linux, SVR4, Sun4, HP-UX, NeXTstep, SGI,
  7.    AIX, Sun3 and others) and needs only 2 MB of RAM.  It is free software
  8.    and may be distributed under the terms of GNU GPL.  The user interface
  9.    comes in German, English and French.  CLISP includes an interpreter, a
  10.    compiler, a large subset of CLOS, a foreign language interface and, for
  11.    some machines, a screen editor. Packages running in CLISP include PCL
  12.    and, on Unix machines, CLX and Garnet.  Available by anonymous ftp from
